Moon Landing 1969

Historic first landing on the Moon July 20, 1969.  We have not landed any where else since.  Next landing should be on Mars, the red planet.  That would be a historic day and thrilling to see man kind land on another planet.  With better equipment and cameras available, it should be quite amazing to see transmission from the red planet.

A question to ponder - if on a Mars mission a pregnant woman gave birth on Mars would her child be a Martian?  Imagine him saying later on, I was born on Mars :) He would be an alien from another planet, that is human!

Basic Cream Sauce

A basic cream sauce recipe, good on just about anything, from pasta, potatoes, vegetables to chicken and meats.  Just add to the basic cream sauce different ingredients; spices, cheeses etc to make all kinds of sauces.

Basic Cream Sauce

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups heavy whipping cream (16 ounces)
salt and pepper (to taste)
(optional: 1 cup or more of your favorite cheese)

Melt butter in a medium sauce pan.

Once butter is melted, add 2 tablespoons of flour and stir with a whisk to prevent any lumps.

Add salt and pepper. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into the butter-flour mixture and continue stirring. It will start thickening in less than 1 minute.

Add the rest of the cream and stir.

The sauce will then start reheating back up and be thicker within 3-5 minutes.

Take off heat once thickened.

(Optional: Stir in your favorite cheese to melt.)

Makes 2 cups of Cream Sauce.
