Bisquick Coffee Cake

First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Get your round, 9 x 1 ½ inch pan ready by greasing it. Next, make your Streusel topping and set it aside:

•1/3 cup Bisquick
•1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
•1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (I like to add a bit more since I love cinnamon!)
•2 tablespoons of margarine or butter
Mix the first three ingredients together. Then cut in the margarine with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture is crumbly.

For the batter you’ll need:

•2 cups of Bisquick
•2 tablespoons of sugar
•2/3 cup of milk
•1 egg

Mix all the batter ingredients together and spread in your prepared pan. Now sprinkle that with the Streusel topping. If you’d like, you can take a butter knife and zig-zag it through the topping for a marbled effect.

Pop it in the oven and bake it for 18 to 22 minutes. It should look golden brown on top when it’s done. Let it cool for just a few minutes so it will come out of the pan nicely, but to experience this coffee cake at it’s best, it should really be served warm.

You Never Know (Poem)

You Never Know

Author Unknown

You never know when someone
May catch a dream from you.
You never know when a little word,
Or something you may do
May open up a window
Of the mind that seeks the light
The way you live may not matter at all...
But you never know - it might.

And just in case it could be
That another's life through you.
Might possibly change for the better
With a broader brighter view.
It seems it might be worth a try
At pointing the way to the right.
Of course, it may not matter at all,
But then again it might.

Friendship is the candle that lights up your heart whenever it is dark outside.

Life without love is like a tree without blossom and fruit.

life’s what you make it, so lets make it rock!!

If you love someone, put their name in a circle not a heart, a circle goes on for ever and a heart can be broken.

New Bracelets @ Our Etsy Shop

New Bracelets @ Our Etsy Shop

Listed and in time for back to school and Fall I got up at my Etsy shop Mystic Star Designs a couple of new bracelets. One is a leaf design with glass beads & acrylic beads - I named 'Ramble on Leaves Bracelet' influenced by my love of Led Zeppelin. Has a gypsy hippie feel to it.

My other bracelet is also influenced by Robert Plant and also has a hippie, gypsy, feel. It's a bracelet made up of wood & metal beads. The wood and leather give it a very warm look. I named that one simply 'Wood & Metal Beads Leather Bracelet'

Currently I'm working on another bracelet made of amethyst and rose quartz crystals and glass beads. I will be listed that one soon. Also have a nice pair of dangle leaf earrings which will be up as well. So take a look around my shop and tell your cool friends about it...thanks!

On Ebay I have listed a set of 6 summer earrings, a great value take a LOOK!

Tomatoes For The Pickin'

Well looks like my tomato plants are doing way better this year than last. We've had a very hot and sunny summer and the tomatoes are ready to be picked!

I love it when you first pick the first tomato of the season, their scent and their beautiful red color. All winter long you have to eat tomatoes that are tasteless and hard, it's good to get fresh tomatoes right of the vine yum!

My first tomato picked and it's going in a tomato sandwich with cheese. Then a salad for dinner. Tomatoes galore when you have plants that really set fruit. We will be eating tomatoes everyday hopefully :)

Here is a poem in honor of The Tomato

Tomatoes On My Windowsill

by Robin Benzle

Tomatoes on my windowsill,
Lined up like happy soldiers,
From pale green as key lime pie
To red as sunburned shoulders.

They seem to smile at the sun,
While they patiently a-ripen.
And when I do my kitchen chores,
I smile back, enlightened.

One by one I take them down
From their nest upon the sill,
And add them to a salad or
Perhaps a sauce with dill.

Then to my garden I return
To pluck another load,
And tenderly I line them up
On that shelf in my abode.

No sooner do I get them shelved,
Than my garden calls me back.
They're ripening all at once, I think,
As I stuff them in my sack.

So I give them to my neighbors and
I give them to my friends.
I give them to my enemies,
Just to make amends.

Soon, I note they're turning red
So fast it makes me ill.
From off the vine, they drop like flies.
My plot looks like road kill.

Tomatoes on my windowsill
All rotting in a row.
I never thought I'd say this but,
"Where the hell's the snow?"

Spell to Invite love into your life

Spell to Invite love into your life

Materials required =

Two red Roses
Dried jasmine flowers and Rose petals
One Red candle
One foot of red ribbon.

Find yourself a convenient place to
work your spell.

Use a table for your altar.

On the left side of the table place
one of the roses which represents you.

On the right side of the table place
the other rose which represents the
invitation of Love.

In the centre stand your red candle.

Make a heart shape of jasmine and Rose
petals around your candle.

Hold the candle and clearly visualise
pure love coming into your life.

Be accurate in your visions, make
sure that you are inviting love into
your life and not a particular person.

Focus your mind on the kind of
qualities such a person will have
to share with you

To be Honest, kind, caring, understanding
and loving are some that spring to my mind.

When you have completed your visualisation,
light the candle and repeat the following
chant:

"Within my mind I can see,
Thou art my love in front of me.
Inside thy soul a flame burns bright,
Encompassed with thy love of light.
Entice me with your heart so bold,
The secret of this love untold.
Thy fated future Entwined to be,
A love secure for you and me."

Using the ribbon, tie the two rose
buds together and place in a vase.
Allow the candle to burn down and
the rose buds to open.

As this takes place a new love will
come into your life.
