Cool Spritzer Recipe

(Is it hot enough for you? Goodness here in New England it's scorching hot these past few days! I know it's almost July but I've got to say it's a very hot summer already. I found this refreshing spritzer that you can use while lounging in your backyard underneath your favorite tree or hanging by the pool or water's edge.
Very easy, simple to make with a few essential oils & water.)

Cool Spritzer:

To 1 pint of water add:

1 drop Peppermint

2 drops Rosemary

4 drops Lavender

This fragrance will help refresh and keep you from wilting.

Spray as desired.

To Reveal Your Future

(Besides Tarot cards, Pendulums, Runes, Crystal Balls, Witches Runes, Scrying is another form of looking into the future. If you don't have a crystal ball this would be perfect to do.)

To reveal your future

Materials required:

Large bowl of water/black food coloring

Add three drops of food coloring to the
bowl of water.

Repeat the following chant

"Spirits, guide me by the hand
To the mystical astral land
Where each secret is unfurled
in the hidden spirit world.
Break this evil hold on me!
O'Goddess Mind set me free.
All conditions now set right
As I take this astral flight.
Reveal the future accurately
Guide me to my destiny!"

Gaze into the dark bowl of water and see
what picture of your future is revealed to
you.

Witches' Bottles Spell

Witches' Bottles Spell

Witches' bottles are jugs, bottles, or jars filled with items directed toward a specific magical purpose, usually protection. These bottles can sometimes still be found in the ruins of old houses.

This spell will help you create a magically charged bottle to protect your home and property.

You'll need a small jar about the size of a jelly jar. Fill the jar half-way with vinegar. Add some salt, a generous dash of pepper, and a rusty nail.

Concentrate on your purpose as you fill the jar. Take the jar outside after night has fallen and bury it. As you cover the bottle with soil, whisper these words:

"Vinegar cleanses, salt purifies, pepper stings, and the rusty nail protects. Let friends be welcome here, and let foes retreat."

Walk away and tell no one about your bottle. The bottle may remain undisturbed for years, or you you may repeat the spell occasionally if you wish.

Cheer You Up Spell

Spell To Cheer You Up

For this simple spell you will
need an orange candle and a
small circle of paper slightly
smaller in diameter than the
base of the candle. Draw a smiling
face on the piece of paper.

Take the candle in your hands
and strongly "see" yourself
happy, smiling, cheerful and
confident. Then put the smiley
face in a candle holder and
push the candle into the holder
on top of the paper. Place the
candle in a fireproof container
(a cast iron cauldron would be
ideal if you have one, or
otherwise a bowl of damp earth
or sand), put the container in
a safe place away from curtains,
draughts, animals and children
etc. Light the candle, thinking
of yourself as happy and cheerful
as you do so, then leave it to
burn out.

This spell will give you a charge
of positive energy which will lift
your spirits and help you through
a period of depression, flatness
or tiredness.

Twist on Favorite Potato Salad

Summer time... summer isn't summer without some potato salad on the menu. I love potato salad with grilled foods and found this version of potato salad that sounds just delightful from National Honey Board.

Red-Skin Potato Salad with Honey Dill Dressing (makes 6 servings)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1-1/2 lbs. small red new potatoes
4 strips bacon
1 medium onion, diced
6 Tablespoons honey
6 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon water
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 1 Tablespoon dried
1 bunch watercress, washed and chopped
In large pot, boil whole potatoes in salted water until; tender but
firm. Drain and cool. While potatoes are cooling, sauté bacon until
crisp in large frying pan. Remove bacon and set aside. Add onion to
bacon drippings; cooking until soft, about 3 minutes. Add honey and
vinegar to pan; stir to combine and bring to a boil. Blend cornstarch
with water; stir into honey mixture. Cook until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat. Crumble bacon; stir bacon and dill into dressing. Cut
cooled potatoes in half, leaving skins on. In large bowl, combine
potatoes and watercress. Pour dressing over salad and toss gently.
Serve immediately.
